Norwegian: New route Gatwick-Oslo
Low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle is to begin flights between Gatwick and Oslo Gardermoen on October 28 2007. The daily flights will leave Gatwick at 20.00 and arrive at 23.10 and will be in addition to the existing twice-daily flights to the Norwegian capital from Stansted.
Fares start from £34 one-way, including taxes and fees.
Norwegian has also added a new domestic route from Oslo to Longyearbyen on the Arctic Archipelago of Svalbard which will launch on March 28 2008. Svalbard is a magnificent group of islands midway between Norway and the North Pole in the Arctic Ocean, which offers unique nature experiences all year round. It is a place where the number of polar bears outnumber its human population. The route will be served twice weekly and will offer connections from many European destinations.
